Situation
A specialty foods marketer trying to achieve major growth commitments was looking for an integrated marketing/strategic plan that would:
Establish a large and profitable presence within a new distribution channel
Unify and create synergies between its three distinct channel-focused businesses
Drive revenue and profit growth with very limited funding
Assignment/What ASG Did
Developed a five-year strategic growth plan, along with a one-year operating plan outlining specific strategies and key tactics (e.g. including specific promotions), including a time-phased blueprint for implementation
Laid groundwork for initiatives integrating all major client divisions and developed metrics to measure overall client opportunity, resource allocation, etc.
Results
Marketing plan was adopted by client, leading to refocusing of company objectives and tactics and strong results to date
Client retained ASG to manage implementation of the plan, including the selection of appropriate marketing agency and information supplier partners
